n a world where bigger is often thought of as better, in recent years, pets seem to have gone the other way. From Paris Hilton and the craze of the handbag dog, to more unusual pets such as the exotic marmosets - it's clear some people that think beautiful things come in very small packages. This programme takes a look at some of the most popular miniature pets and meets the people who love and own them. Including some of the very smallest in the world! The cameras follow Craig Glenday, Editor in Chief of the Guinness Book of World Records, as he heads to America to investigate two potential new Record Breakers. In Florida he meets a donkey called Knee High to see if he measures up to his name, and whether he sets a new World Record. And in San Diego, he has a surprise in store for the owner of the shortest cat in the world, Fizz Girl. In the UK, the programme follows Irene and Mo in Essex who own a miniature horse farm running pony parties for children and meet their tiniest foal ever, Acer, who measured just 14 ¾ inches at birth. We also meet a rather extraordinary woman, Grandma Sandra Ponder who, as well as taking in sick and abandoned Chihuahuas, has a secret sideline designing blingy dog dresses, including two for a brand new Diva Dog fashion show in Essex. And we see the role a Devon farm played in creating a worldwide craze for one of the most surprising pocket pets of the 21st century - micro pigs. Narrated by Jane Horrocks.
