Parvati asks Mahadev to sit outside Kailash to prevent Shanidev from entering. Ganesha and Kartikey visit Rishi Vashishtha's ashram in search of the best house, and meet Nahush. Rishi Vashishtha requests Ganesha and Kartikey to stay in the ashram for a while. Narad Muni and Parvati hear Mahadev's drum beats, and assume that he is signaling Shanidev's arrival in Kailash. They become worried. Parvati herself incinerates the replica to save it from Shanidev's evil eyes.
