The crowd cheers the rain that falls on Ilhéus. Ramiro dislikes the presence of Mundinho in the city and the fact that he might interfere with his post as Mayor. Mundinho becomes enthusiastic about the idea of being opposition leader. Arminda tells Miss Pirangi that Nacib and Gabriela are sleeping together. Zarolha finds Nacib and Gabriela kissing and promises to kill her.
