Barnabas tells Magda that he will give her some of the family jewels in return for protection during the day. Magda warns Judith and Quentin of a stranger that would bring them trouble. Barnabas shows up at Collinwood and introduces himself as a cousin from England. Suspicious of Barnabas' motives, Quentin threatens to kill him unless he gets some answers.
