Satoshi Tajiri, head of Game Freak and creator of the Pokemon series idolized Namco, and in the mid-'80s he and Ken Sugimori created their own Famicom game, Quinty, and managed to sell it to Namco. And at the end of season 8, Quinty becomes Arino's next challenge.
