Jay Dee Walters was born in Houston, Texas to Floye Maye and Joe D. Walters. His parents were Christian missionaries and at the young age of 12, he and his four siblings moved with their parents to Honduras to follow their vocation. It is during those years that Jay learned to speak Spanish, and today he is proud to be fully bi-literate: he can speak, read and write Spanish fluently. Jay developed a strong bond with the Latino culture, and more importantly, fell in love with the people and their warm spirit. In 1991 Jay married his Honduran sweetheart, Karla Mabel, whom he met while attending a bilingual high school. The loving and caring Honduran culture has impacted Jay’s life tremendously. In fact, he often thinks of himself as an “adopted Latino”! Jay has been acting since 2001, but he started pursuing it professionally in 2007. He has studied at the New York Film Academy and The Second City. Jay has recently Co-starred in a feature film film called "Blind Turn". Jay resides in Hallsville, TX with his wife and two beautiful children, Isabella and Brandon. In his spare time, he enjoys fun family time and fishing. His birthday is on August 5th.
