John Francis McCullagh was born in Merrick, New York, the youngest of four in a family of artists. At eight months old, his family relocated to Dallas, Texas. Surrounded by music, art, film, and literature, John Francis was inspired to pursue filmmaking at the early age of four. His passion lies in martial arts film, focusing on intricate choreography backed by gripping storytelling. He is also passionate about incorporating his Irish heritage into his storytelling where possible. A jack-of-all-trades, John Francis writes and directs,... and typically stars in his own projects where he performs his own fight scenes and stunts.
